Desktop Computer Vs Laptop Computer- Which one should you buy?

It might be the first question in your mind when you are planning to buy a new computer in your

home. This matter may be quite confusing for a lot of people. 

Whether to buy a desktop computer or a laptop computer,  It is totally up to you. If you work at home and you don't have to  travel here and there , if you need high performance computer at the low cost than I think  Desktop computer is best for you.

If you are a  traveler and you have to move here and there , then definitely  Laptops computers are for you. Laptops computer are portable and they have batteries so that you can use it on-the-go which is the biggest benefits of a laptop computer.

Choosing laptops or desktops depends upon the various matters . You have to  look about various factors like speed, size, processor, power usage....etc. Some of them are mentioned below:

Some of the things you need to consider before buying a desktop computers or laptops computers are:-

1) Cost
 The first thing that you have to think about before buying a new computer is its Price. If you compare the price and specification of a desktop computer with the laptop computer than you can find that the desktop computer with similar specification with laptop are cheaper than the laptops.

So, if you are searching for low cost PC with higher performance than definitely you should go for desktop computers as they are cheaper in comparison to laptops.



2) Portability
The next thing you will consider while buying a computer is its portability.  Laptop computers are very portable than desktop computers. You can carry laptops form place to place in your bag or in a laptops' case. Laptops are lightweight, small and easy to carry whereas desktop computers are heavy and less portable. Desktop computers are not designed to move form one workplace to another frequently. So, if you are using computers for offices than definitely, desktop computer is for you. If you have to travel one place to another very frequently then you must go for laptops.


3) Ease of Repair and maintenance

Desktop computers  are easy to repair than laptop computers.  As the hardware of the desktop computers are easily available, You can repair/replace it very easily. But in case of laptops , Repair and maintenance is a bit more difficult. You have to order  the parts from manufactures or online which makes it difficult for repair and maintenance.

 

4) Gaming

If you are buying computers for gaming, You need to know that desktop computers performs better than laptops while gaming.  You can use high power video cards in desktop than in laptops. Desktop computers are capable of using any video cards. Desktops are capable of using 1000+ watts of power and they have a big space size which can help for cooling them self.  But in case of laptops, due to power limitations , they don't allow video cards which needs high power to use in them.

5) Screen Size

Desktop computers have bigger screen size than that of laptops. Where laptops are designed to carry form one place to another, They're built with smaller screen size whereas desktops are design to keep on a single workplace so that they comes with bigger screen size. Desktops screen can be as big as a TV screen. For laptops, we can connect TVs , Projectors with it so that we can present it on bigger screen.


What do I recommend?

If  you have to use your computer sitting one place, You can go for desktops because you can get higher performance for the same price but If you have to move one place to another place frequently, then there is no point  in buying desktops.
